Our Mission and RolesThe League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate. Other League OrganizationsThere are two Leagues within San Mateo County. Each serves a separate geographical area. LWV of North and Central San Mateo County serves the cities of San Mateo, Highlands, Belmont, Burlingame, Foster City, San Carlos, Millbrae, Half Moon Bay, Montara, Pescadero, El Granada, Moss Beach, Pacifica, Daly City, San Bruno, Broadmoor, South San Francisco, Colma, and Brisbane.
